soooo i take it the 51 is gone?
Nice bike!!!! I wish my '73 Kawasaki H1 got good gas mileage so i could save money in summer. Too bad it gets the same mileage as most trucks

Yep, gotta change the sig pretty soon. Gonna keep in touch with the buyer, hes a good guy. Same mindset as me, but with more money.
Still think you should have kept the 51, but congrats!
What it needs:
1: Stripes
2: Ace Frehly or Peter Criss skull-head baby hanging between the front forks.
3: Rear fender... the welds look a little thrashed or something, it might be just the picture.
4: That Wolf Whistle thinggy somewhere.
5: Wiring could use a little cleanup... or a red lace bra hanging from it.
Are you going to keep the tank painted like that?

1: Today
2: We'll see
3: Welds are awful, need some work
4: Put it on my Dad's truck
5: Indeed on both accounts
Looking for a new tank, but I painted it black last night for the meantime.
I miss my xs 650. Nothing sounds quite like it. The only problem I had was I had to replace the spark plugs every time I rode it.
Just don't put another Gene Simmons one on it... that putz gets too much exposure.
And it's good to hear you put the wolf whistle to good use
I want to hear that thing!
Some new pics
GAM- Ill see if I can get a vid of the wolf whistle on saturday, got a couple shows
That was quick.
Striping looks mint, as does leopard print.
I approve
.

Yeah, I'm not feeling the leopard skin, either. Just not my thing. Other than that, I LOVE what you're doing with it.
If it were my project, I'd consider finding a used Army tent or duffle bag or something like that and doing the seat in that olive green canvas...
But if you're feeling the leopard, then all the more to you!! Keep up the work, and keep the pics coming as you do more!!

I like that idea! Well see what happens with the seat after I get the new tank, which I will probably paint either black ,or metalflake gold, rootbeer or red...
On a side note, got my motorcycle endorsement today
Well, if you like the idea, feel free to use it. Just don't be too upset when I finally get a bike and do the same thing, LOL.
Congrats on the endorsement!!! How tough was it?

I LOVE that seat idea with the Olive canvas! But either way I love your bike dude. Good to know you can LEGALY ride it now.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Pretty easy. I got 100% on the written, which, if you read the guidebook is easy stuff.
The driving test was easy too, but because I used a bike I had been riding for 2 days, all day, and we had practiced the course all day. If you drove in on your bike, and you weren't a confident rider, you may have some trouble.
I rode for about an hour and a half today, my verdict is, I highly recommend getting a bike. Its a feeling like no other.
