More progress on the STi =)

Well I had said I wouldn't get springs but I lied I certainly still plan to obtain coilovers in the future but I have heard so many good things about these RaceComp Engineering springs from friends and other owners that I had to try them out. They are the best for autocross and track use, they ride stiff for sure but the handling is so much better it's almost like a new car, the steering feel is so much better now. And driving around on 19s with stock height looked kinda silly =)

I also debadged all the sti stickers and badges (only a smaller black one is on the trunk)

Tinted the windows, headlights, and taillights as well. Alot more coming soon, i'll keep you posted!

the ride height looks good, much better then stock with the wheels, thats for sure!
I like the tails, but I dont really like the headlights.
My personal suggestion would be all red tails with stock headlights and take the wing off, but thats just me.
Do they make back lips for the car? the rear bumper looks a little whimpy, especially compaired to the nice front.

What else is planned for it?

As far as what's planned for the exterior : I am going with a carbon fiber hood and carbon trunk with NO spoiler. I am currently looking at alot of rear bumper lip kits and rear bumper replacements I always want to find the "smoothest" one possible. I also plan on replacing the sideskirts to something smooth and lower like these:

tinted lights remind me of an old, beat-up, 3rd-gen Camaro with brown pinstripes on it.

the lowering looks good, though

I agree with the headlight covers... they're a little dated IMHO, and they really detract from the look of the car. A lightly smoked cover isn't bad, but clear JDM's is best, again IMHO.

If you want Smooth, leave the stock skirts, but if you want lower ones, the ones you pointed out are nice too

Best of luck, Cheers!

I knew eventually I'd get pulled over for the headlight tints and it happened today. Was on my way to malibu and the cop was sitting on the side of the road I drove past him down the mountain and he immediately pulled out and hit the lights I knew immediately that the reason why was the tint. He gave me a fix it ticket for headlight and taillight tint, my window tint, and no front plate. I have already pulled the tint off of both the headlights and taillights, and plan on getting the front two window tint removed within the next couple of days. I do however plan on putting tint back on the windows I feel it was just because he had me pulled over he was looking for other things.

So no im back to the ugliest stock tails in the world.

I was saving for other things but some all red 05 Sti tails HAVE to be the next purchase

Thanks everyone,

Brett

that thing looks really clean i'd ditch the badges on the trunk as well as the key hole but if your getting a c/f trunk i guess no need to do the keyhole.
