I had Gareth do all of the in car logging using the excellent MPVI dongle system so we could record every step of the way exactly how hard this STOCK internal (other than 224 @ 114lsa and springs) engine is doing it
After reviewing the data, especially the oil pressure logging with only some basic sump mods I would not be surprised to see this high mileage stock LS1 engine last the entire season of beating at the hands of GT George
Out on the track we need to perform a few suspension adjustments to get the balance of the car right, but as a perfect combination of East meets West, I personally dont believe a better D series drift car (and that includes both Japanese and American D1/Formula D) has yet been built

Rounding the famous Adelaide International Nascar oval (short course) in 4th gear and just playing with the throttle shows what good chassis balance the Skyline has

Coming into the Esses and a bit of chassis imbalance before standing on the throttle in fourth gear and boiling the tyres
Consider with fuel on board and NO DRIVER this car tips the scales at nearly 3200lb...which is not super light...then look at how it fries 295/18 Competition Semi Slick tyres (thats around a 12 inch rear slick in US speak)
IT RULES
This is the same GEN-TT INTERCOOLED TWIN TURBO kit we deliver to your door for $4950

I am actually getting SICK of people dropping LSX motors in EVERYTHING
(albeit I thought the ls1 powered s2000 was a nice slap in the face to those yuppie wannabe cool "KA20 beats EVERYTHING" dickholes)

I am just finishing up probably my 30th 12 hour shift in a row and just felt like babbling
And yes, I do agree the SBC is going to take over the world, it already has two/thirds of my driveway

Except the S2000 never came with a K-series engine.
In just about any other circumstance I would call this sacrilege.... but:
1)It was done by Aussies and not redneck hillbillies (although the argument can be made that Aussies are just redneck hillbilly Brits)....
2) It has fuel injection
3) It has turbos.
4) When you really think about it, which would you honestly rather have under the hood as a race team member/driver... An increasingly expensive, hard to get twin cam straight six with an expensive aftermarket and harder to get parts, OR- a widely used, widely available tough as nails V8 with a widely available, relatively inexpensive aftermarket?
I was just reading on edmunds the other week about how a company is selling Skyline GTR bodies that have been refurbished to meet American DOT standards, but with no drivetrain or chassis components so that the EPA classifies them as kit car parts and allows you to bypass numerous customs tapdancing... Now, assuming you did this, look at what it would cost to get a full R34 drivetrain and then install it, or get an LSX with a G-force T5 behind it? Granted, 90% of us can't afford to do either, but still, it does make at least some sense.[/quote]
hey jay, you got a link or any info on that? im assuming its still rhd?

True.
I meant generation of people.
Has anyone swapped an LSx into a portable power generator? Screw Nuclear! You could power Toronto with the SBC.
I'm pretty sure, in time, the SBC with solve world hunger.
Chuck Norris has nothing on the SBC.
