The 2009 Challenger will go on sale starting August at a price starting $23,995 for the V6. Steven Landry, Chrysler executive vice president for North American sales, said last week that prices for some versions of the new muscle car will go as high as $39,995 for the 2009 model year. The 2008 Challenger SRT8’s base price is $37,320, and the automaker limited the number of vehicles it would make in the first batch to 6,500 — even though it had almost 10,000 orders.
In August and September, Landry said, the 2009 Dodge Challenger will come out in three versions, including a 250-horsepower V6 car.
Challenger’s biggest competitor, Ford Mustang is priced at $19,650 and soon to come: Camaro.

yeah with the mustang priced the way it is, chrysler better hope there are a lot of people who would rather pay an extra $5,000 to have a car that not as many people have... because that kind of money can buy you a lot of upgrades for a v6 stang to make it your own. hell the GT is $26, 000 (USD) and gets you 300hp. granted the Shelby GT 500 is $42, 000, but the Bullitt can be had for less than $31, 000 and 315HP

anyway, i think it LOOKS awesome, but the price is a little steep for myself. then again, for what it is and the limited production, I guess it isn't completely unreasonable.
