ive seen a few of these vids and this thing is straight up ridiculous for sure
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
yeah that looks fun as hell. but ever see the crash footage of those things OUCH
There is a guy that comes into the car wash with one of those things and he just thinks it's the GREATEST invention ever. I just laugh at him every time he comes though. I can't imagine how safe those things would be in a crash.

Yah the smart car has a great crash rating. I think they gave it 5 stars out of 5 LOL. Just don't buy the chinese clone. Made of fiberglass lol. The whole thing is fiberglass on a go cart chassy.
I want one of those smart cars with a busa engine. Saw it a while back. Thing is nuts.

Stole my words exactly!
i never get tired of that video...
ok now i'd take one. those things are freaking sweet.
i read an article in motor trend where they took one of those smart cars (stock) for a test drive over a few hundred miles and only averaged like 36mpg or something like that. they weren't too impressed. my 98 corolla used to get 34mpg in city driving. you couldn't give me a smart car and expect me to drive it around everyday...unless it had that engine in it.
GO PATS!!!
I threw up 5 years ago when my German exchange student showed me his father's SMART. A more powerful engine still won't make the queeziness go away. Personally I wouldn't get behind the wheel even if it were asthetically pleasing considering how short of a wheel base we are talking about here without an incredibly low CoG. That car is certainly not intended to go over 80 mph. But they do have a great deal of engineering into crash safety, which I'll admit is incredibly impressive.
