I just got me a 1985 Gt Fiero with a 2.8 and a muncie 4Spd it needs alot of work but a really nice 20 footer if you know what i mean!!!

although im sure someone knows something about them, all i know is that sometimes they catch on fire

well i wat to drop the LS1 in it or the northstar and the G6 6spd and the vet/viper brake kit ya CARZY!!!! all you can possably do to it when i get back from school on v8 archie i wat to put the widebody kit thats it gray primer on it with a flip up headlight delet kit
Hi Justin. I had a 85' GT a few years back. I know a little bit about them, but not a lot. The fires were started by oil leaking out of the valve covers and dripping down on the exhaust manifold. There was a recall on that problem. Another thing you might check is even thou the cars body is plastic the frame underneath is steel. You might want to pull the carpet in the trunk by removing the rubber weather seal. Look behind the carpet on both sides and see if the inner rear fenders are rusted out. On my car the it looked great on the outside, but the frame and inner fenders were very rusted. It would have cost a lot of money to fix it. If it just has a little it should not be a big problem.
