Hello fellow org members. I have been searching for a fix for a 2001 Grand Cherokee Laredo cruise control.
The problem is I can't turn it off. The jeep keeps on accelerating no matter in what gear it is. If I put it in park
the jeep runs up to 7k rpm!!!!! As I drive it home I have to stand on the brakes to slow it down and I cant get it to come to a complete stop. Does anybody have an idea how to fix it?

check the cruise throttle cable. sounds like it's sticking.

that or try disconnecting the battery for 15 min and see if that helps. im also i fellow wj owner i would honestly go to jeepforums.com and post it up there. you will get a lot more help from them on this question than you will here. no saying others here cant help but thats where i would suggest looking for a quicker answer
Thanks fellow jbody members. I will have to join jeepforums.com
