ME WANT!!

Quote:

Chevy will only build 427 of the cars for the North American market and another 78 for everyone else, for a total run of only 505. That is, not coincidentally, the horsepower rating of this American sports car.

How cool is that?!

If i remember right the LS7 is a 427ci small block. Its not making anymore power, its just a cosmetically enhanced Z06. It would be awesome if a supercharger came with the package, but im not thrilled.

I like the details. I would prefer a more stealthy paint job. That one is going to give itself citations.

They did a Ron Fellows special edition Z06 not too long ago, I think it was even more limited production than this one is.

why does GM do this.. there is nothing special about that at all.. i would rather pay the base price for a C6 Z06 and spend the extra money on performance parts and have a faster Z06...
They did this with the Trans am with the last production year in 02... the Banana yellow convertable... it was just a decal package pretty much.. and sold for like $10,000 more then a WS6 Trans Am... They should put on some performance parts and make it worth while

The First Twin Charged jbody
blue car (R.I.P) - 240whp @7psi..
silver car - 305whp 315lbs.tq @15psi (91 Octane) or 420whp & 425lbs.TQ @20psi (94 octane+Alcohol Injection)
All dynos run on a Mustang dyno

It's all about production run, some day this car (even though it's just a dressed up Z06) will sell for a hell of a lot more than the regular Z06s...

At least this one is attractive. There have been some nasty special editions.

Don't get me started on the purple with yellow wheels on a past model. EEEEEsh!!!

That being said, some of the ugly colours from the muscle car era became very collectable.

limited production = more money down the road.

Collectors want what nobody else has, what's harder to find, and that costs more money. It's quite simple, really. Exclusivity has a price.

Just like the person who got the first production ZR1 on Barrett-Jackson for $1,000,000.... It doesn't look bad but being as I'm a driver not a collector I don't see the point in paying more for the same thing. I'd drop the 10k in some performance mods personallly...
