Honda Civic value increasing
Thursday, January 31, 2008 6:33 AM
Has anyone else noticed that the Honda Civic's value is appriciating at a rapid pace? I've got a 98 LX Sedan for a winter beater/DD and when I bought it the kbb private party value on it was only $3,300 and that was back in September. I just checked it today and its around $4,200 now!! I guess gas prices really appriciate economical cars more than I thought.

It seems that all small cars are more desired these days. Good news for most of the people on here.

someone posted up something about resale values of "gas conscious" cars going up.

I checked the resale value on my tC then, and it's worth more than I paid for it (well i'm still paying on it... but still lol)

just picked up a 05 sunfire for cheap and thinking of selling it for a profit, hearing this makes me happy.

tC's have always had a extremely high resale value... i doubt its because they are good on gas as they are only average in that right

I'm sorry, but I'd never pay $4,200 for a 10 year old compact car.

I agree paying too much for a older car being 6-10 yrs is assinine. When I sold my wifes civic a 95ex I sold it for 5300.00 it was 9 yrs old in mint cond,no acc, under 100k all work done to the letter on it by me,and or honda(timingbelt).I sold it btwn the nada book/kbb value at the time.I would not pay more just for the economy side.

i just gave my 98 Cavalier away this afternoon I was so disgusted with it.
It's good to know that maybe my Cobalt will hold some of its value come trade time for the Camaro.

Good, bad... I'm the guy with the Cavalier.
