To no surprise and the day has come, Isuzu Motors America said on Wednesday that it will stop selling vehicles in the U.S. market. The decision is effective as of Thursday, Jan. 31, the company said in a press release.
Isuzu vehicles in the U.S. market--the Ascender SUV and i-series pickups--are reworked versions of General Motors vehicles. The Ascender is reworked from the Chevrolet TrailBlazer/GMC Envoy, and the pickups are rebadged from the Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon.Isuzu sold 7098 vehicles in the United States in 2007, down 17.6 percent from a year earlier. Isuzu said it would continue to honor warranties and encourage its dealers to continue as service-only centers.

Toyota is going to be closing the deal to take over ownership of Isuzu and possibly use the Isuzu diesel in the near future.
The Colorado/Canyon are an Isuzu. Same with the H3 Chassis.
The chevrolet luv pickup was an Isuzu. The Colorado and Canyon were shorten trailblazer frames.
Kinda sucks, There is one dealership around here that does real well, of course with more used cars than new.
The only Isuzu I've ever seen on the road is the Rodeo and the Trooper. I'm pretty sure they pulled out of Canada long ago.
This worldwide Rodeo looks pretty sweet though

I can assure you there is no GMT360/370 platform in those vehicles. I worked in an Isuzu dealer before I moved to a GMC and the Colorado/Canyon are Isuzu. Nothing is the same as far as frame and body is concerned.

yeah thats a 355 (colorado/canyon) easy to tell by the cab and there are tons of variants of the colorado chasis/body all over the world
a friend of mine had an 82 S10... it was powered by a 1.9L Isuzu 4banger... even had ISUZU on the valve cover!
it was pretty gutless and gear weird... you couldn't ever get into 4th gear unless you were doing 250mph and drafting a fighter jet.
Might as well have been a 2 or 3 speed.

You know, I don't think I've ever seen an Isuzu vehicle on the road in my area. Until know, I didn't think the brand still existed.
