some friends and i were sittin back drinkin and were talkin about cars and the idea of swaping out the 270XXX mile 2.2 and puttin in a ECO into my brothers corsica came up. we all thought it would be funny to have it painted rattle can flat black and have a body kit rivited on all ghetto like but having a S/C eco swaped in. ive thought about it and i dont think it would be to hard to do. but has anybody thought or done this with a familiar body style?

That's kina like sitting around drinking and someone says "hey, wouldn't be cool if Pamla Anderson had a dick" and the rest of you analize it and think it's cool.
LOL

The engine swap would probably not be too horrid. Much easier than what people have had to go through to get a V^ in the 3rd gen j-bodies. But really it comes down to why? It wouldn't be much faster and you still would have that lame auto trans. It just wouldn't be worth it.

im pretty sure it would be alot faster. right now it runs high 20s. and the eco would make it haul ass compared to it now

HP:Weight

You're not throwing in an LS7 or LS9, so no, it's not going to be fast. Still a POS, though.

It's runs 20's now? So the swap might get you 16.9? Guess what, that's still slow.

basically what everyone is saying is if you are going to take the time to swap a motor into that boat, it should be a big motor

3800 SC would be sweet in a corsica

bettet yet an LSx

if youre going to waste money on an eco and a s/c, put it in a better "pos" car. geo metro, anybody? now that would be a real sleeper.
