I'm having the worst week ever.
To top it off, yesterday I slipped on a piece of ice while walking up to my car, my arm hit the side view mirror on the way down.. I barely hit the mirror, but somehow managed to tear it right off the car. It's dangling by a piece of wire (power mirror) right now. I was hoping it can be fixed. I called the Saturn dealer today, they said no it can't be fixed. They want $369 + tax for the mirror. 30 mins of labour to put it on. So I figure close to $500. Not what I want to hear right before Christmas! I was looking on ebay and I see lots of mirrors there for like $50. Thing is they say it's for the sedan. Mine is a 2005 Saturn Ion Coupe. Are the coupe mirrors and sedan mirrors different? They look exactly the same when looking at pics. Can anyone confirm this? I can't find any info anywheres.

I very sure that they are the same.....
Well first of all, i wouldnt be paying for the easy ass install...
And if you want to go to ebay go to your local auto parts store. Not like an advanced auto, but a place that sells body parts..
look it up at gmpartshouse
If its the same PN than its the same part.

Two words:
Salvage yard!! Why pay for new when you can usually get a like-new part dirt cheap?

i ordered an egr from gmpartsdirect.com, takes a few days to come in but it was alot cheaper.
and i'm not sure if they are the same, i would think so.
I can't find Saturn parts at all on gmpartsdirect? Odd..

They have different part numbers, so there is most likely some difference...
05 Saturn Ion Mirror Assembly (Power)
Coupe:
10363819 (right)
10363818 (left)
Sedan:
22726679 (right)
22726680 (left)
Take that for what its worth, but I'm guessing with different part numbers, they are most likely not interchangeable.
Also note, there are different part numbers for 03-04 and 05.

Ahh okay, thanks for the help Dave.
My brother had an idea.. Why not just epoxy it back in place? Even right now it's sitting in place, just wobbles some when driving.. I've tried the local junk yards, they got nothing for me.
