What is the going price on one of these things?
I checked autotrader.ca and saw prices on the low 30s ... I couldnt stop laughing ...
Are they that nice of a car to warrant such a price?
huh?
Low 20s maybe for the 2LT version. Fully loaded.

I think they can be had for a couple bucks under 20 in Canada. Loaded comes in over 30 at MSRP on the GM Canada build site. The SS is sure to be more. Ouch!
My father ordered a Black SS auto for inventory. We'll see soon.
I am all over the SS panel for toating my dog around.
Onstar seems to be required at all trim levels. Argh!!!
30K in canadAr dollars? The absolute most I could option one out on Chevrolet.com was $24.5K.
If they're selling for $30K+ up there, I hope they're coming with a complimentary bottle of lube.

Many other manufacturers are finally folding. Porsche weas the first. Nissan just reduced the price on a deal by 4 grand. This was after the deal was made for the vehicle. Seems like they get it. GM Canada's lame ass answer to the problem is to have a "Buy Canadian" add campaign. Idiots! They really are screwing the dealers and everyone else. No wonder they have to screw you over in service. They have no choice but to rape the few customers they do get.
The interest rates on the 08 cars are actually higher than many imports now. Go figure they hit you with higher financing rates on top of it all.
My car is due back in just over a month. I am holding off buying a vehicle. They reduced the price of my current car, big time, shortly after I bought it. I'm NOT getting reamed again. So I'll drive my slightly embarassing Cutlas until I get the right deal.
Here's the sumary off the build site. I actually missed a couple options. Canadian's are getting screwed!

Im seeing 06/07 LTs with under 30k miles in NY state for 14k ... Or I can buy one in Canada for 30!!!
Stupid Fu<ks ... as if I would buy a new GM Vehicle anyways, they do that much more steer consumers away ...
No question that a used US one will be the best bargain.
Many dealers are buying US used cars just to keeop moving. I may be requesting a vehicle as my dealer goes south for cars every two weeks. There are big deals on higher end cars and trucks. I almost bought an 07 STS cause the price was so good.
I'm sure an instock 07 would be a far better deal over an 08. They have 0% finance on many 07's and the ring in to win contest in a minimum of a thousand bucks this year.

did somebody forget to tell canada that their dollar is damn near equal to the american dollar now??
The Canadian dollar has been worth more than the American dollar for almost 2 months now.
The HHR SS that my father ordered has been held back. It's built. They have not decided how much it is going to cost. lol!
That's just sad...
I'd rather pick up a base LS HHR for like 13-14 grand and do the stuff myself...
wow that's alot of money.....
my parents got a fully loaded aura for 28K and it's twice as nice with 252hp.
YOU can buy the SS HHR for far less than that.
