Aftermarket paddle shifter trannies

Since the Borg-Warner Direct-Shift Gearbox 6 speed automatic tranny actually shifts faster than a manual, and is cool to boot, I was wondering if Borg-Warner ever was going to offer it as an aftermarket option like it did with T-5 manuals and such?

Would be cool to install on a Cobalt/G5 for sho.

Not until every one starst swapping these trannies themselves then someone will see there is a market and capitlize on it. I know there is a Paddle shift conversion and conrol for the 4L60.

Ok, here you go. The Shrifter, .
And some options for a TCU.

If you read the FAQ for the Shrifter, you can use without an aftermarket TCU but is not recommended.

I don't understand how they say they can change gears faser than any manual or automatic??

Isn't this just a regular auto tranny that is controlled by a paddle button? It's not like a sequential manual.
