please help. Im new to j-body.org, Ive got a 96 cavalier. My issue is not on the cav but a 1990 cosica w/3.1 v6. The problem is when it gets warm it will not run. It will idle just fine but you cant rev it and when you put it in drive it dies. we've changed the fuel filter and throttle position sensor and that hasn't helped. If anyone can help please do.
best advice....find a cliff and push it over.
I had one too a long time ago, when it ran it was dream. When it didn't it was a nightmare. It does sort of sound like a fuel pump but if it idles it's obviously getting fuel so...? I'd say spend a little cash and take it to a shop and find out what it is. Then figure if it's something you can handle yourself in the garage or not. Also when I owned my Corsica a Haynes repair manual was my bible, i'd seriously suggest getting one it helps A LOT when your doing it yourself.
