It appears to me that the guys on American Hotrod are building a turbo Eco drag car.
I have some pics of the show with the motor on them, but photobucket isnt letting me log in right now. Ill post them when it lets me in.
Thought some of you might be interested.
I guess thats interesting. Could be fun.
I still hate Floyd Cotterpin and his lack of style.
Whatever keeps him away from old cars is cool with me.
How many steps to heaven, Doc?
...Ah, metaphysics.
Its not a drag car it's a car for the salt flats. Boyd's wife is gonna drive it from what I gather. I hardly ever watch that show. I was surfing through the channels the other day and noticed it was an Eco so I watched a little bit of it.

I have not seen the show yet, but I heard the engine popped on the dyno.
So much for that marketing venture.
The Coddington shop has done some really nice cars. I love the whatthehaye. The alumadeathtrap was interesting.
Yh i saw that last night as well..damn large turbo they are using...
I dont nessecarily like the cars they make really. I just watch it sometimes... I like when they argue and whatnot, like American Chopper but not quite as good.
I just thought it was interesting they were turboing an eco, and the turbo is pretty massive.
I just wanna hear it run.
I liked that theyre using an Eco motor. Although, he said its a "2 and a half liter" which might mean its the 2.4, unless its a different version of the Eco and actually is 2.5l.
interesting and kinda cool nonetheless. I wanna also know how much hp theyre going to get out of it.

I don't get with the issue with Boyd Coddington is, I mean he may act like a
A-hole but you can not deny the contribution him and his company has made
to the hot rod community. Not to mention the countless other charitys he himself
has helped. I do allot of work with "March of Dimes" and help with getting corporate
contributions. A couple of years ago Boyd was at a event to auction off a car to help
the cause. There were no cameras or publicity, after the event Boyd Coddington
matched what car sold for dollar for dollar in private with no cameras, no reporters, etc.
Like the guy or not, the contributions he has made to the hot rod scene far away whatever
bad thing you can say about the guy.
