S10 ZR2 opinions?
Sunday, September 16, 2007 1:15 AM
been thinking about a S-10 ZR2 for a while now, and haven't been driving the Cobalt much. The G/f still has her Cobalt SS/SC and I have a old Cavalier that I drive, and in the winter she drives the Cav. I found a nice S-10 fairly close and am thinking about trading in the Cobalt for it...really, I end up driving my Cobalt in the winter when the g/f has the cav. so it's going to be a winter vehicle.

What do you guys think? Thanks

awesome fun truck. Horrid nightmarish fuel consumption.

I've got a cav that gets 30 MPG , it's mostly going to be for getting around in the snow in the winter.

i have a ZR2 Blazer....love it, hate the gas consumption! Overall they're a decent truck for sure, that price seems a little high for the amount of mileage thats on it though.

is the milage that bad? I know it's a bit over what would be expected...KBB says 63000, I think.
Is the motor not good with miles cause it's not going to get awhole lot of miles from me. (and I have no issue with a engine rebuild in a few years, thats ussually what I do anyway) Anyway, thanks for the information. I'll try and talk them down some on price...

my bro put on a K&N, and a Flowmaster 40 series and gets 18 mpg easy, almost 19. thats normal driving though. not only does it get better gas mileage, it sounds a hell of a lot better too

I 9000-9500 seems like a huge drop, but I suppose I can try.
I was hoping for 10500 or so.

The Gas milage isn't a big deal as long as I don't get stuck in the snow...lol.
I have a 15 mile commute to work (and I can put regular in it) so I think if I can get 16-18 it will be fine. anymore is gravy.
Maybe I'll toss some street tires on it in the summer.
