Some new E-Rod pics

Well, it's been about 2 months that I've had the V-Rod now, so I thought it would be a good idea to post a few pics of the changes I've made to it so far.

Before - master cylinder caps with sight glass:

After - smooth

Before - tall sissy bar:

After - a little bit smaller:

Before - grey ugly calipers!

Almost there:

After! That's a little better:

Don't worry, the rear caliper matches the fronts:

And a few scenic shots:

More pictures soon!

That my friend is a sexy bike.

Though I must admit, I liked the tall sissy bar! It's a debate for me.

I like it, but I think it could use a few shiny black accents. Powdercoat something and throw it on.

I really like those v-rods...I'm a fan of the night rod though...but that is a very nice looking bike.

I thought so also, I want to have a bike with a purpose, not just a "let's see how many chrome bolt-ons I can add to my bike and think it looks good" rolling catastrophe that too many people have. So, I switched out the grips.

These are the ones that were on the bike when I bought it:

Here's the ones I switched to:

They are a lot more comfortable, plus they tie in with the footpegs and brake and shifter pegs (they are all from the Harley "Aileron" collection).

I think over the winter while I have some down time, I'm going to take the rear shocks apart, cut them down an inch, and get the springs powdercoated black. Either that, or buy a set of Progressive shocks with black springs. That's one other area of the bike that I think is a little bit overloaded with chrome, between the belt guards and swingarm and exhaust pipes, and I think blacked-out shocks would look good.

Me too, like them both. That isn't the best picture of the mini sissy bar, it looks better when you view it with the whole bike. But, I got both here, and it's a matter of 5 minutes to switch from one to the other, so I can't lose either way

Anyway, thanks for all the comments. I'm gonna try to get some more scenic pictures tomorrow, this work thing has been kicking my ass lately!
