oh and nightmares the shifter is too high up, might just be the pic

I'd have gotten a Fit or a Yaris, or even a Versa, before getting a Mini. But, to each his own.

Are you serious? It's not even in the same league as those cars.

I'd love to have a Mini.. I heard they handle really well.

haha truer words have never been spoken

this is a luxury car and it can out perform the fit and yaris in every aspect, except maybe MPG, but it still gets great gas mileage at around 40 highway

and yeah lonestar the handle like a little go kart, its a blast to drive

Nice pickup. Never been a fan of the way they look, but I know how well they drive, so it's all good.

Great choice, right down to the colour. I'd get the JCW package though.
Oh, and i hate the huge speedo in the center of the dash,... I don't like the passanger knowing how fast i am going.

^^^ 2 words: Vinyl Overlay.

Nicely done. The Mini Cooper S was also on my checkout list (but, like the G35, the prices here are getting juiced well over FMV), and I would have likely bought one for everyday driving. They are sweet little macheens, and yes, with the right bolt-ons (John Cooper Works intake, smaller diameter S/C pulley, OMP suspension goodies, R Compound tires), you'll have a little bastard on a time-attack track.

Good luck!

Very nice little cars, i test drove one, loved it! But, it was more than I wanted to pay.

ok guys so i have an update

the car is all switched over and it is mine, well technically my moms since she loaned the money and i will be buying from her, i know i am blessed not to pay interest

it is not the john cooper works edition, but it does have a lot of great components that you cant always find on the JCW editions

i am in the works of getting the JCW sway bar upgrades and a intake for it, the pulley may have to wait a bit as i have heard getting to that little snout is kinda a pain

also the JCW package can range anywhere from 2-5 grand so find ing that on a used mini with a good price probably wasnt happening

it does have the Harmon kardon sound system upgrade and the aero kit on it, along with a lot of other extras

but now that i am finally driving it, its amazing how incredibly out of the cavaliers league this car is

its faster out of the box even with my 2.4 SC, its ride is better, it handles 10 time better, the interior is like night and day compared to the Js crappy plastic, and the 1.6L SC engine gets about 10 more MPG than the cavalier

but i still love my old j and i understand that it is in a completely different price range and most people looking to buy a mini arent also looking at cavaliers and vice versa

and admiral i agree on pricing, it took me a few months to find one with good miles and a good price plus the options i wanted

and like i said, look for a photoshoot soon to come

I'm not sure... I think the intake and pulley are part of the JCW package.

Make sure to to check out the local mini clubs! We make a monthly GTG, usually at Dave and Buster's for a giant Euro meet of VW, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Mini, Volvo etc.

Also, congrats! Always loved the Mini's but the GTI has always been calling for me!

'02 LS Sport - Indigo Blue - Gone as of 9/15/06....

'06 VW GTI - Black Magic - the new toy with big things to come...

'91 VW GTI - Tornado Red - VR6 swapped in - daily toy

Best current FWD handling car in the US, car handles like a slot car. Thank you long wheelbase, wide track and light weight. And the Neon engine has been proven to be good too. I REALLY recommend to take that car where it can see oranges cones.
I dig and beautiful color too.
Congrats and happy trails.
