More than you'll ever make in 3 lifetimes, your first born child, an arm, a leg and 2 soft organs (they prefer eyes and testicles).

It's almost worth it.

Sadly It looks like a really bad Lambo Diablo kit car.

Not a bad car to copy design wise but, it just loses crediblity

From the side, it does look like it's a bit Diablo, but, it's not a Lamborghini at all.

u know, i'm just not a fan of the style of these cars anymore. they look like le mans prototype class cars. konigsegg (sp?), saleen, now this, to me its just not impressive anymore. yea, the only reason they can reach those speeds is cuz of the aerodynamics.

the bugatti to me is impressive because it looks like a normal (well, not normal ) car. the aerodynamics on that car is great, but at least its not an arrow shape like everyone else.

ya but with only 1 arm and 1 left you'd have to settle with getting the automatic model, and thats no fun

You mean... you don't have 3 arms, and can't clutch with your flaccid penis?

Dude...

Viper98912: True, the Veyron is a little curvier, but realistically all other super cars that set speed records are of the wedge front shape. The difference with the SSC is that it has the flat rear, so it creates a wake with none of the drag that a round back would have.

Either way, when you're designing for speed, you're not going to get a "normal" car... ever.

what bugs me is that they try to call these cars "production" cars. That's not a production car. the veyron (although rare) seems to be overall more of a production car than all these look a like prototype class cars.

Once a factory builds 3 of the same car... its a production car.

Think of it: The Tucker was a run of only 50 cars, and it's considered the most revolutionary "Production" car of the day. ( Even though the 50 Tucker 48 Sedans were considered Engineering prototypes with minor changes in each)

Low numbers doesn't mean it's not a production car... Think of what'd happen to the auto industry if SSC decided to build the car in a run of say 50,000.... They'd never, ever, ever, ever recoup the money they put into tooling alone, let alone the fact that they'd likely never sell the cars. They're a Niche market, so that means low production numbers.

So true.
Viper98912 wrote:yea, the only reason they can reach those speeds is cuz of the aerodynamics.

And 1000+HP is just for show. If anything, their aerodynamic limits these cars to stay in the 200mph range and could possibly reach 300mph. But if they switch their aero work to be more aerodynamic to reach 300 mph, they'd go belly up.
