Does anyone know about what it would cost to have a camaro inspected to see what kind of shape it's in (it's for a purchase)? I am not very knowledgeable about the internal aspects of cars so I want to find a mechanic to inspect a '67 camaro to make sure it's actually in good shape and doesn't just look good.
Plus, If you know of any good places in the Overland Park, KS area that can do this AND perform a dyno horsepower test I would greatly appreciate it if you let me know about them.
Thanks a lot,
David W.
two ways, either have the car inspected by ANY mechanic, or have the car apprised, cost will depend on your area, vintage muscle you better learn quick about how it works if it breaks down
Some places such as Tuffy or Midas charge around $40 for 100+ point inspection and some shops charge an hours worth of labor $65-80. Check with local musclecar clubs or at meets to see who they use for mechanics.
If you have no idea what to look for when it comes to buying a 67 Camaro, I don't think you need to be buying a 67 Camaro...
If you have ass-loads of money running out of your ass, feel welcome to buy the car and pay to have everyone else work on it so you can have something that looks good.
Or, actually learn something about working on cars before you buy it, so that way you don't have to spend ridiculous amounts of money for junk like that...
