I took a 2007 civic for a test drive today. I loved the car, pretty nice drive. One complaint though.. How are you supposed to change the stereo?? It's all integrated with the HVAC controls, etc.. That kinda sucks. I mean it does have cd/mp3 with ipod hookup, but sometimes people still want to change it. Has anyone found a solution to this yet?

there are two different dash trims.
one- the one that you saw with the stereo and the HVAC and just about everything integrated into one.
example below.
and then the one with the navigation trim piece. the nav and radio are one combined feature. if you get this, your trim piece will still have the HVAC on the trim, but the navigation/radio combonation would be empty, which you can fill with an aftermarket radio.
example below.
you will need to go out and get the navigation trim piece and use that.
my buddy has a 06 and had a hand in the production in the alliston, ontario plant. plus his brother works as an engineer in that plant or something. he figured all this out for himself and has told me about it before. guess i cant just put it off as useless knowledge now....

The one I'm looking at as the base stereo setup shown in the first pic.. The interiors of these cars are really well built. I took it over the bumpiest road I could find (construction zone, huge potholes, etc) and the interior didn't make a single squeek or rattle. Neat thing was too, the dashes and even the foot wells lit up blue instead of that orange in the one I test drove.
