best site for a classic mustang?

ok, to make a long story short, i am looking for the best forum with the most info on classic mustangs. i am just starting out looking for a good forum and i am browsing stangnet.com as i speak any other suggestions would be great!

story: my friend bought a 67 mustang off of my dad back in 01. he hasnt really done a damned thing to it in 6 years (except send it off to be painted) and i am tired of it. the car ran when he bought it, but doesnt run now and hasnt seen road action since we drove it back from VA. i volunteered to work on it since i know it wont get finished if i dont, and i cant stand to see a classic car like that rust away.

right now i am in the middle of installing a new starter, gas tank, relocating the battery to the trunk, and might do a new fuel pump too. however, on the starter i cannot seem to get it to sit completely flush...it has about a 1/8" gap that i cannot compensate for. i need to check out other people's experiences on this to see what they did to fix it.

any help would be great guys....! thanks!

www.vintage-mustang.com

Best one out there when I still had one (up till March 2005). Haven't been there in a while, but I'd wager it's still the best.

as strange as it sounds, according to www.vintage-mustang.com, most parts stores have the auto and manual starters parts #s mixed up. Have you ever heard of such a thing? earlier today I took the starter off and compared it to the original and they did look slightly different. I am going to try and see what the auto store says and maybe get an auto starter if it looks right.

thanks for the site though. this one seems much MUCH better than stangnet.com!

You can try www.allfordmustangs.com or http://forums.bradbarnett.net/ which is the forum site for The Mustang Source. Both have a sub-section forums dedicated to classic and vintage Mustangs and they both are well in depth, if I say so myself.
