my uncle and I test drove a saab 900se turbo 5 speed and the thing was so nice looking. garage kept 90K and original owner. on the test drove would couldint hear the turbo at all. and the top wouldint go down made a grindeing sound. they guy said he would get it fixed and he could get the car for under 6G and its a 1997
yea your a funny one
i was asking why dont u hear the turbo on the car and is 6g to much for it
KBB
you don't hear the turbo on my volvo either, but its still there.
Yeah, some are pretty quiet (saabs). The newer sports sedan sound pretty good. Like an aircraft. lol
and 6K for a 10 year old saab. eh.
They are expensive to repair.
Well... with JUST the standard options and 5spd, Kelley Blue Book private party value for that car with that milage in POOR condition is $6,460... excellent condition is $7,820.
So yeah... for under $6,000.... good deal
And yes, when things do go wrong, Saabs are expensive to repair... but they're incredibly reliable when taken care of and in good shape.
My first car was a 1984 Saab 900 turbo... I couldn't hear the turbo either, but you could feel it workin. My car had 235,000 miles on it when she got totalled (NOT my fault)... my mom's boyfriend at the time bought it new, and the ONLY major things that were ever replaced, besides regular maintanance was the fuel pump and master cylinder. Not too many cars I know of can have 235,000 miles on it and have the ORIGIONAL motor AND turbo functioning perfectly.
You only need $50 for an air filter and then remove a silencer and you will be able to hear the turbo nicely, trust me. Then get it tuned and peak at 22psi and people will hear it lol.
