A couple new pics of the ZR2
Wednesday, July 11, 2007 2:21 PM
Well finally got some new pics, and a couple subtle changes for my BlaZeR2 de-badged the sides, painted bowties in my center caps red, installed my spare tire lowering kit so I can see out my back window, and installed my body lift and got my rear shackles in, just need to get the cash together for some bigger tires and it'll all get done. I plan on a 1inch T-Bar crank, but I'll wait until I get the tires & get an alignment done at same time.

So I was 'sick' today and went and took some pics in the sun cool.

Before

Oh and I know i need to get the nerf bars adjusted....but they work for now.

Thanks for the comments guys!
Bigger tires are coming, just a good BFG AT, but in a 32" instead of the 31" on there now. I would go to a mud terrain but I do way too much city & highway driving, so the AT's will better suit my purpose until I get a good set of spare rims, then I'll have a set of mudders for fun.

As for the nerf bars....for now they'll stay. I don't wheel this much at all and when I do its just fun easy stuff, not serious, mostly cause I just got it a few mnths ago and still have payments, so don't wanna beat it up and its my daily driver right now....but a good set of sliders is in future for the blazer like these ones below

But again thnks for the comments & criticism Keep it coming!

go for the MTs! I have em on my DD and would never go back to an AT... Been on for over two years and still have life left! The performance of the MT is day and night to the AT!

I had a 02 ZR-2 Ext. cab pickup on 32" BFG M/T's and i was on them for about 2 years and have no complaints really. i liked the m/t alot more than the a/t's. but i did get sideways a few times in the rain when i really shouldnt have...

I miss my ZR2 too!

Really the only thing I don't miss was the horrid God awful gas consumption.
But it was the best when gas was only like $2.00 a gallon. I don't even want to know how much you blow thru now with gas at $3.50+ to $4.00 a gallon.

Yeah thats what my buddy said about the MT's...way too easy to get sideways on the roads here....and i know with my LongTrails now I get sideways anytime i tap teh throttle at all in rain.....makes for some fun when i want, but pulling out of my driveway quick can be messy.

I love the ZR2...and glad I bought it...but yeah consumption sucks...but hey what ever. Could be a lot worse!
