Mmmmm kayyyy, so they chose to put that turbocharged 2.0 in an HHR and NOT the Cobalt? Good move Gm....

I was under the impression the 09 Cobalt was also going to be getting the turbocharged engine.....
Just for those that don't know what engine they are talking about ...

powered as it will be by the 260-hp, 260-lb-ft, 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder found in the Pontiac Solstice GXP and Saturn Sky Red Line mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
And no, I would not buy one .... its just not my cup of tea

As of now, nope. If anything, it may come for 2010 on the next GM compact.
But as of now it looks as if GM is tring to go against the Caliber SRT-4, Mazdaspeed 3, GTI.
Fast wagons looks to be the new "in" thing.

It needs some kind of oomf in the power plant thats for sure. The car has really grown on me and one of my friends has one and she loves it. Shes not a car person though but it fits her well.
How many steps to heaven, Doc?
...Ah, metaphysics.
They oughtta have just made it RWD and slapped in a Northstar or LSx.
Saw a HHR SS today at a car show, looked pretty sweet, but I still wouldn't buy one.
15.2@89mph 2.171 60ft. 9.830 1/8 R.I.P. "LULU"
they need a 2 door version
LNF or not its still a PT cruiser clone
1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
now, take that exact truck, take away two doors, replace the rear windows with sheet metal, split the rear down the back (old school ambulance style), leave the lnf in it, and paint it black, and i'd give my left and right nuts for it.

They sell a panel van. I does have the back doors, but they have no window and door popers instead of handles. It's a neat little ride that might do well for me taking my dog around with me.
The barn doors are a great idea!!
Another thought....the SS moniker would have suited this car just fine!
