hey there, wondering about 240 sx reliability, this engine im talking about is the 2.3 i think its 155hp, leather interior suede glove box....... nice car inside out........

But Im finding at idle Its a little rough until i give it gas....... and It sputters out the exhaust.. could this be a spark plug problem? or a possible head gasket?

The KA24 is a fairly reliable engine. It is a 2.4L BTW. they are also very cheap to fix/ replace.

Probably a mis firing issue. If your buying it used replace the plugs and wires and you should be ok. Also check the fuel filter depending on mileage. Those are really fun cars too.

i had a 95 240 at one time. i had the same sputtering problem with mine. i replaced plugs, wires, distributor cap, and the rotor and it still didnt fix the problem. and it was automatic so i gave up on it and went and bought my 04 cav.
