Photoshoot with a friends Civic (Pics Inside)
Thursday, April 26, 2007 11:18 AM
A few days ago me and a friend of mine took his '98 Civic Hatchback out for some photos and thought I would post them up on here. This is the second time I was out using the new digital camera so I have a lot of options and features to play with.

Here are the original photos taken from the location:

Here are a couple I tried editing / touching up a little bit in Photoshop.

Have a good one,
Justin

Car, pics, location are simply bad ass.

Excuse the ignorace, as I don't know much on aftermarket radios, but what company is that or what does it mean?

hahaha, i would imagine since we live really close to each other. I saw that spot months ago and really wanted to get there with a car. I would love to be able to get something inside but there is so much glass and debris laying around, I wouldn't want someone to pop a tire or scratch something up.

Have a good one,
Justin

The camera is a Nikon D80. The lense that I used in the pictures above was the Nikkor 18-70mm with a UV filter attached. I also carry a Nikkor 70-300mm lense but never really use it that much when taking pictures of cars.

Looks pretty cool. I think the gigantic airport landing lights are a little too much on the front, but it looks good other then that

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

Nice Exposure on the pictures, and good call on the location. some of the angles are a bit extreme but that seems to be the trend with auto photos. Next time your out shooting a car, i would suggest using the 70-300 with a high fstop maybe 4.5, step back , and zoom in on the car it will give you great Bokeh, and add to the imapact of the picture. anyways fgood shooting keep em comming

Comments on the photography: GREAT! I like the pics, you did well. They came out clear and very nice looking!

Comments on the car: well.. im mixed... bright ass red is ALWAYS the right choice..but the eterior to me looks like all he said when shopping was "ok, i wanna replace the body kit and hood,... now what ones can i find that add the absolute worst angles and lines that dont flow with the shape of the car?" and the hood looks wavy as hell. but to each his own... HOWEVER.. i think the interior, for what he is going for and everything is MINT. amazing set up and the interior just looks perfectly done and all the overall work seems to be top notch(except the body work needed on the hood).

this is my last post for the month now i gotta sit tight for a couple days

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Pics of rear?

And I'm not a fan of the front bumper, either. Buddy Club or C-west.... looks great on the Civics.

The pics came out nicely... great work.

As far as the car itself: I'd have left the body stock. The wing on the hatch can stay, but the rest has to go.

Here are some pics of the rear along with some interior.

The mufflers do need to be tucked in a little bit and the owner knows that. He hears it from us all the time, lol.

BigBadBowtie: I'll definitely keep that in mind next time I go out to shoot. I've always had a thing for angles in car pictures but I did take some regular ones too.

As far as some of the other comments about the front bumper and the car itself, I feel the same way about. It has grown on me over the years but there are things on there I would change if it were mine but the owner enjoys it at the moment and that's all that matters in the end. He does have plans in the future that will involve getting a different body kit, hood and some other new things.

Have a good one,
Justin
