Have you seen most of the posts here when someone says they have a Cobalt SS/SC, or they want one? A decent amount of people on this board whine and talk crap about them constantly. Gets stupid after a while.

I think they're great cars, but it seems like guys are having issues getting enough fuel to the #4 piston. It's a return-less fuel system, not the best setup for a boosted application, imo. But, the stage 2 upgrade with a 2.9" pulley will defiantly be a nice upgrade!

That true that there is blown engines and all of them are #4

The best thing is to just get the stage 2 and the pulley is 79mm or 3'' i think , just leave the GM Stage 2 stock so that if the engine blows up its covered under warranty

HaHa
that was actually very funny. Good one Red. But they are a blast to drive , just sucks when my friends stock non-boosted 350Z smokes me. I'm selling mine and getting either a Z or a G FTW. The CDobalt was a nice step up from a j-body...but for a few more $$$ you can have a far superior 350Z Enthusiast.

The 350Z is hardly a competitor to the Cobalt, and the G35 is far more expensive.

Why get a G35 when for a few bucks more you could have a Zonda???

Re: New Cobalt SS

For the amount of money for that 350Z, you can upgrade the Cobalt SS with the stage 2 kit and GM performance exhaust and have the thing run damn near 280hp and become a f*ckin rocket, lol.

GTO

That is all. lol

I test drove the cobalt ss and the ion redline both are very peppy for 4 cyl cars.
I wouldn't mind picking one up myself.

its not the compression thats killing the engines. Its idiots runing a 2.5-2.7 inchy pulley with only minor cooling mods. They are running the charger way out of its efficiency range. With a proper setup im sure this engine could handle 350-400HP.

The stock engine should take 400hp no problem w/ the proper cooling and tuning.

Except for the fact that it is heavier, has a higher center of gravity, the SS uses 18" wheels, and they still uses a twist beam rear axle...
