Hy guys maybe you can help me! My friend wants to replace the head gasket in his 91 mercedes 300se. I told him i could help him but I first needed to get some info from the net (always very helpfull). I've been looking around for any DYI in the mercedes forums but there arent many. acording to the info he gave me about the car, it is a 4 cyl which I think it is a 6 cyl. All i have found has been 6 cyl 300 se.

Is there a four cyl 91 mercedes 300se? If so anyone has any advice on replacing the head gasket. Please point me in the right direction! Thanks!

I only worked for the Mercedes parts dept, so I would not be able to tell you in details on how to fix this. But I will tell you, that the 300SE is the short wheelbase version and that it is a inline-6, not Inline-4.
