I freakin love bmw's. Searched for one for a while, found a good deal on ebay. It wasn't THAT far away either. So I got it. It is a beautiful white 1997 318i (yeah I know, kinda a lower-end bimmer). Its a 5 speed. Only problem I found is the rear speakers were blown and kinda a pain to replace. Anyway I don't have any pics yet, but hopefully soon.

hahahaha, best April Fools post EVER.
318's aren't all that and a bag of chips, but I hope you enjoy.
BTW, your B&W cat looks like mine... except mine has black on his face.
the 318ti (hatchback) is still one of my favs, but power options are limited,
and the german-tuner engine rebuild kits will cost you more than a used
e36 325. Still, the 318 makes for a nice daily driver. congrats.

Can't you get a mid 90's M3 for a decent price? Maybe 15 grand or less?
well good luck with it. hope nothing breaks because its going to be expensive. ive had a buddy work for bmw and mercedes and those cars are expensive to repair if their not under warranty.
Severely underpowered for the price but still a very nice car. Repairs won't be too expensive if you do them yourself when possible. Any car can be expensive to maintain, just depends what condition it's in. I would know, I drive a saab and it costs me an arm for parts, then a leg if I can't do the work myself.

I didn't want a used M3 that I am sure someone beat the crap out of, and therefore I would have to buy expensive parts for.

Most of the ones I have seen are either pristine, OR it was obvious that it was not taken care of.
But you got what you wanted and thats what counts.

Yeah, but i also only spent about 5k on mine too. lol
Nice, I wouldn't mind an X3...but for the price, I could get something a bit cheaper and bigger.
Plus, every Tom, Dick, and Harry around here has either a BMW or Mercedes and Im getting tired of seeing them.
So I wouldn't mind either a Caddy CTS or SRX instead.
WOOT! Steph's back in the fold
I can just imagine you or Karo behind the wheel of a CTS-V.
Congrats on the BMW, depsite what everyone says here, ANYTHING is an upgrade from a J
