Gotta love that thing, I remember reading about in SCC at the time. Something pretty tits about a stock looking Tiburon running 10.9s on street tires, haha. Really, this is something someone here could do easily. It wouldn't be cheap, but I bet it could be pulled off for well under 15 grand if you already had a J with 1 running engine and tranny. Just a couple 200hp engines, wouldn't matter what, would be insanity.
i was trying to figure out how tough it would be to do. i think it would be a hell of alot harder with a j because of the trunk. a tiburon is a hatchback, i think. never really looked at one.
Yes, you can do it, but getting 2 engines to run in synch isn't a walk in the part.
Just shifting into gear is a headache, not to mention matching speeds.

They used two motors with automatic tran's. Sounds fairly easy to me to shift into gear and keep them in synch.
The burnouts where done with one trans drive and the other in reverse.
