Well Ive finally done a small upgrade to my GTO. Since i bought the car I never liked the 17s, so I picked up a nice set of 18s. Just factory wheels, but thought Id share. There are a fwe more plans for the summer, but Ill wait till they get here.

excellent choice. Though if I'm not mistaken, there isn't a whole lot of choices in the aftermarket for GTO wheels, right? I see snow in those pics, will you be using the 17's for the winter?

Yeah not many choices for rims. I wanted TSW thruxtons, but seems like everyone has them. Ill be saving 17s for the drag strip....i think i can get a better tire on the 17s vs. the 18s too hook up better. The Volvo in the background is for the snow lol. Some old lady traded in the Volvo for a new car at my work. Its 1992 960 from Florida. No dings, dents scratches, rust, or anything. Every service record, and original window sticker ($35K). Only paid $500 for it. Runs like a champ and will still smoke the tires when i power brake it lol.

dam 500 for da volvo , nice buy
tsw has other wheels that look good on the goats
bad thing is not many good offsets , alot of wheels choices since they share the same lug pattern as the bmw's 5x120
alot of the holden wheels look great also
I want a goat........look nice
There are some nice tsw and other company wheels. Just hard to find ones that look good.
BMW wheels are usually mostly bling wheels.
Holden/Vauxhall wheels are really $$$$.

If you want to drop the cash alot of companies will do custom offsets and such. You can always get something through BBS, iForge, Jline or any of those companies. No bling there, just lots of forged badassness
Yeah, I looked into a few other wheels, but the price was right on these 18s. I love ebay.

Haha I havent tried to drive it in the snow....other than when i moved it around in my drive way during a snow storm. Couldnt move more than 5 feet with out getting into some trouble. Im ready to get it out though. We had some good rain today so ill probably start driving it again this week. CANT WAIT.
I only paid $750 for them....$550 a wheel from the factory though. Talk about rape.

I have heard that they do well in th snow from some people. The key is changing the tires

haha yeah, snow tires, might help a tad. Oh well, i hope it doesnt ever have to see salt/snow.

Unfortunately I have driven mine in the snow a couple times and it is not fun. The rear end likes to get squirrely way too easy.

with twins might as well be driving on snow , lol
I drove my GTO all winter and never had any issues with getting out of control I spun the tires a few times but it was my fault for flooring it lol
Lol tire spinning is a little side effect from 350hp+. Regardless of snow or not haha.
