i just replaced the starter solenoid on my Grand am, i had it tested at the store so i know it works. i wired everything up and i tried to start it and nothing happend... i was thinking WTF, when i had the idea to run a jumper from the battery to the pos terminal on the solenoid, wellt he car started.. i then tested the positive wire and i had no power through the wire.
does anyone know what might have happend? i checked all the fuses and they are all good.. so i dont know what else to do
I've had issues with the fusable links burning out... its basicly a section in the wire somewhere that acts like a fuse... you find it, cut it out, and replace it.
But since Im not even sure the 2.4's use that... it sounds like a broken/loose/shorted wire somewhere. Get a wiring diagram, and trace the wire from start to finish... test it in a couple spots... because some of the wire should have power... then when you find where it doesnt, then you know the problem is in the middle pf those, you know?

Maybe Im just pissed, pissed that my freinds are spineless, What else would you
call abandoment some night, when you're in a fight, and they could make things right?
Spineless. I miss some of my old friends, the ones who you could count on,
bet a huge amount on, the fact that they'd always have your back... Its like a kick in
the sack, just knowing, you've got nothing to fall back on. @!#$ this, Im done.
