Take it to the dealer and have them look at the problem, it should not cost you a dime.

um, duh?
lol
Exactly what i was going to say.
See? Hummer owners are worthless. but since he obviously doesn't know he's not really driving a "Hummer", but instead driving a $40,000 Colorado pick-up i'd suggest he hit up http://www.coloradofans.com and see if he can get help there(The Hummer H3 and Chevy Colorado are mechanically the same truck).
I'd also suggest to him a site for the girly H3 owners FAQ's as well for guidance Men's guide to the Hummer H3

Stupidity is rampant in this thread.

1. It's under warranty, take it back to the dealer. Ask, if they tell you it's nothing, take it to a different dealer and double check.

2. Yes, all Hummer owners are worthless s eyes
Yes, we should all sell are cars and buy Geo Trackers and Old Thunderbirds.... Or you could just stop being a jealous tool.

In order for you to pull off a "better than thou" attitude and not look like an ass, you actually have to not treat people like @!#$ for no apparent reason. As he did nothing wrong. He had a simple question, which most people would say take it to the dealer. However, this could be hist first new car, or first new truck, and as some of us know, and even with old cars, noises and such arise that are "normal" things, and don't warrent take a day or lunch break off work to go to the dealer.

Cappo
question?
are you not acting "better than thou" as well?
i believe that's called the pot calling the kettle black. You sound like a bigger jerk by just adding onto the insult bandwagon and not offering anything more usable to the thread. At least (in a very sarcastic manner) Jam pointed out the truck is based off the Colorado (and that statement is 100% true) And then offered a link to a forum that may better suit the vehicle in question.

You come off sounding like more of a tool than anyone on here solely becuase all you did was jump in and throw out insults "l. And then rehashed what Lingvette alread had said, to make it seem like your not just coming in to the thread "to not look like and ass" while you bitch. Trying to sound like for some reason you are better than another member. Then "for no reason" you dropped down to his level and insult his vehicles to.... what? Make your self feel better?...sound like your much cooler than him? was there even a purpose to your rant? grow up and get the sand out of your panties. Jammit was not right, but you were way out of line yourself to point ANY fingers.

Ok, with that out of tha way let me show our new member Mr. Farkas Janos what it's like to be "helped" by a member of JBO that's not a tool...

As stated above i would totally check with your dealer on this issue first (assuming you have a warranty) It probably wouldn't hurt to join or search through that Colorado forum...the trucks are quite similar.

I would very much advise you join the forums at HUMMER FORUMS.com and repost this exact question on their forums.

I did a little surfing and found a link to a list of HUMMER Technical Service Bulletins you can find them by clicking here for the Hummer TSB's It looks like the 6th one down sounds like your problem. But i would keep scrolling down and see if there's something else.

Those are just a few ideas to get you started. Hope you get it fixed nothing worse than a new car going bad

Possibly, but the key difference would be that Jooky's comments were directed at someone who did nothing, mine were directed at him because of what he said. Your also doing the same damn thing, so your point your finger at a finger pointer? I insulted his cars, while you tell me to get the sand out of genitals I don't have? Seriously? What are YOU trying to do? Make yourself feel better?

Yes I rehashed what Ling said because that's what I would do. I also said that it could be something that is a non-issue making noise, and that taking it to the dealership could be a waste of time if it is a noise that it already makes.

Also i'd like to add some more info. The forums at off-road.com are also an excellent place to discuss HUMMER talk. The forums were revamped so the new one isn't a vast in knowledge. but if you do some searching the old style forum is archived and may also offer you some answers.

and since i'm bored at the shop right now i'll paste the TSB for you:
Make : HUMMER Model : H3 Year : 2006
Manufacturer : GENERAL MOTORS CORP.
Service Bulletin Num : 3136 Date of Bulletin: SEP 29, 2006
NHTSA Item Number: 10021019
Component: POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION
Summary:
SLIP CONDITION IN 2ND, 3RD, OR 4TH. DAMAGED 2-4 OR 3-4 CLUTCH. *KB

apparently some members "stay on topic" isn't a concept they understand. And again you prove me right, You throw and insult then back it up with useless recycled info to not sound like your being a tool. Thank You. Try to break the cycle by instead helping the topic not defending your ill behavior.

You know upon re-reading your post.
i'm second guessing that it's the transmission at all. I had a jeep Wrangler once that did the same exact thing and it turned out to be rocks in the heat sheid for my cat. I got the rocks out and it was quiet as a mouse. Later the rattle started again when i would accelerate through the gears and it was the sheild it's self that had gotten loose. I'd have someone rev the motor while you peer under to get a feel for where the noise is coming from.

It really may not be all that complicated

Ha-Ha
like it was ever about what cars i own, I never mentioned my cars were any better. Serves you right for getting all butt-hurt over something so pety that was meant to be a joke.
At least i didn't keep coming back like an over-sensitive cry-baby to back pedal and make excuses for what i posted. I said what i said, H3's are chic trucks, it's my opinion and was meant in good humor, bad taste or not. I could care less if it offended you, get over yourself.

And he said get the sand out of your panties not your genitals, i say clean them both to be sure.

BTW yellow cobalt evo guy (or anyone paying attention to the actual topic not Cappo and I's little tiff) he already posted the exact same message on the hummerforums.com board but it looks like it dropped right off to like page 3 with no answer. He actually got more help from JBO members than he ever did on the hummer forum. I just found that to be ironic.

I'm confused. This guy just signed up and his only post here is this one.

Why would someone sign up on a j-body forum specifically to ask a question about a pickup truck?

I wonder if he was just baiting y'all. If he was... it seems to have worked!
