Going tommorow to get a new ride and upgrade from the sunfire. Decided I'm going for an 07, either a Dodge Dakota or a Dodge Ram. No other trucks or cars are even being looked at..The trucks will either be Quad Cab or Club Cab(MAYBE, the dakotas look semi-nice like this).
Just wondering a few things..
What are the pros of the Ram vs. the Dakota
..and vice versa?
Is the aftermarket for these trucks worth a dang, i've heard Mopar is what I will primarily be using.
Go for the ram you wont be disappointed!

how many 15-20 year old dodge trucks do you see actually still see on the road, that should be an indicator
but I would go with at least a 3/4 ton, get the gearing that makes you happy and upgrade as much of the powertrain as possible before it is driven off the lot (options)
oh and you said truck so i assume you meant 4x4

In the west, zero, none, nada. Thats all the indicator I need to buy a different truck.

I'd say get the Power Wagon Ram, but it isn't available with the Cummins Diesel :o(
Go Premium, it builds character!

Up here, zero, none.
Last one I've seen that was more than 10 years old was a friends truck, and it died a horrid death.
On the other hand, there's lots of Fords & GM trucks, with GM being the most popular work/tow vehicle.
