What I can't seem to understand is WHY other manufacturers don't use diesel. Can you imagine a Diesel powered hybrid? Diesels are MADE to idle endlessly. Why not use that instead of the moronic gas engine? An iffy 60mpg? Try a hard 100 with a diesel.

As for Diesel's emissions. European cities deal with them just fine, why can't california. A little soot won't kill anyone, it's dirty but it's not an airborne pollutant. It falls rapidly to the ground and is washed off by rain. Big deal.

In germany there real big on saving! They recyle everything! Also emmisions is a big NO NO! Thats why there making more diesil cars. Diesil will always be cleaner than gas! And the gas milege is great.

Soot is negligible now...

I think the reason they don't change to diesel is because of the Oil companies, and the fact that most people equate diesel with smelly, oil burners.

See, but now that makes sense, so it must be wrong. LoL

will make you stronger. I'm not sure if that is true
or not, but i do know one thing-You have to learn from
it and it has to make you better.......it has to.......

If you chip the current TDI's your performance will increse, but your gas mileage will drop down a TON!

In California, especially southern california, there are desert valleys (San Juaquin-which has 2 of the most polluted cities in america) And in southern california it doesnt rain a whole lot to make a difference.

diesels are not emissions friendly

alot of the 07 newer diesels in trucks have been hit hard with emissions equipment , and now wont idle all day long with out the soot trap getting full and setting a SES light , and going into limp mode , requiring work at the dealer

i would like to see more small diesels around , the way gas prices have been going
