2.2 umph

Haha as the title says I want some 2.2 umph. My daily driver is a 94 buick century(I know its not a J) but it does have a 2.2 the same as my 92 beater cav. Im tired of the sluggishness of this motor and like how my dads eco cav feels as far as power for a everyday driver. Not to sound like a newb but what will get that damned 2.2 as peppy as the ecotec? I was thinking 1.6 rockers, a header, port and polish head and intake, bore out throttle body, top feed conversion and slightly bigger injectors(from the junkyard probably maybe 3800 injectors or quad 4 if they are bigger), and intake. I wanna stay away from exhaust because its a daily driver however it does have a walker quiet flow on it know. Do you think this would bring me close to the eco powerwise?

0) you may have to sometimes wait more than an hour before you get a reply, some of us have better things to do than sit around on the JBO waiting for you to ask a question
1) no need for top-feeds, you're not going to have that much more power.
2) exhaust. You may not want it, but stock exhaust will choke any airflow you gain before it, it is necessary. If you're careful, you can still have a stock-ish tone
3) port and polish
4) CAMSHAFT!!!! this will be of very big benefit with the ported head. If you want to have your head flowbenched after porting, we can run it through the simulators to find the best cam grind for you
5) ported intake manifold (runners and TB...although keep the TB increase small)
6) have your block decked .020" (NOT THE HEAD). If you do this, check valv clearences with the stock cam before regrinding

Cool thanks...How small should I keep the throttle body? I was thinking about getting it bored out and putting a 56mm blade in it from a quad. Also what about porting the exhaust manifold til i can afford a header? That would probably be last on my list of things to do better to spend money other places like a cam. And i was impatient about it lol i saw like 5 topics jump over top of mine and thats why I posted that I was afraid it would move low enough down it would be ignored.

Nothing on the first page is ignored, so normally you have at least 2 days. There are three of us that will post in anything with 2.2L, 2200, or OHV in the title.
56mm is okay, but don't go bigger than that.
Porting the cast iron exhaust manifold is very difficult and tedious. I picked up a pacesetter header and downpipe for $100, not a big deal, and you won't notice gains from the cam when your exhaust is choked.
