I'm still undecided on whether I like the newly designed headlamps. I would have thought they would have made the low beam a projector housing too but they only did it for the high beam. I'm not a fan of the tails, but the rest of the tC = sexAy.
nice gheytezza's , lol
did they change the dash much ?
Interior is exactly the same except for paint matched handles on the interior to the center console color.

Almost. Style wise, yes. Bit side impact airbags and IPOD Headunit (with RCA outs!) are now standard (were $599 and $299,respectively, when I bought mine).
the tails look like crap. i guess they bought all of APC's stuff and tried to make something out of it

Worst insult? ever!

I think they are TYC's actually. But yeah, not really sure about them either. I don't like how they look on silver tC's, maybe they'll be better on the other's.

Over some headlights and taillights?
How about standard side air bags (11 total airbags in the tC)? Standard iPod headunit with RCA outputs's and Pioneer sub? Standard HID's? All for under $18K brand new?
If that's regression, I'll take it with a side of bacon please.
Looks quite mediocre.

If I could trade in 9 of those airbags for boost and some decent power output I'd be interested.
That's the killer of the tC for me personally, as I was highly considering buying a BCP tC this season. TRD blower isn't impressive, and while Turbonetics, ZPI, Greddy, etc. all make nice turbo kits, they have an equally hefty price. I would honestly go with the Cobalt SS when comparing them side-by-side due to the Cobalt's blown 2.0. Not knocking the tC though, it's a great quality car with tons of aftermarket potential. I've seen quite a few with Turbonetics kits putting down some nice numbers on only 8psi.
Taillights were a horrible move, always preferred the stock, even over the TYC LED versions offered prior to the '08.
From the looks of the tails, they appear to be the same shape as the current ones. That's good news for anyone who can't sit in the car because the don't like the tails.

Oh believe me, I would love to boost the tC, and like even more to see one come turboed from the factory. The problem is, that would put the tC out of Scion's target price range and go against their idea of keeping things simple. Of course, that doesn't keep me from crossing my fingers for a really, really nice Release Series (read: boosted), but I don't think it would be smart to hold my breath.
It really depends on what you want. The tC had great aftermarket support before it even came out, and it seems to get larger by the day. Making it compete with the Cobalt SS/SC wouldn't be too difficult. But then you are paying around the same price for one, and the depreciation advantage Toyota has is thrown out the window since you've added aftermarket parts.
