God how I hate Scions. The xD? looks way to much like the xA, and the xB is just gay. Those cars should have never ever been made. Only one I like is the tC. These were just cars to create more ricer retards running around thinking their refrigerator is fast.

The xD is the xA's replacement, hence the similarities.
As for the "ricer retards", you get that with every platform. You'd actually be surprised at how many people don't care about how quick these cars, specifically the xB, are. These cars were pretty much made for the people who wanted cheap "show cars", the younger generation that could only afford this much, and/or something that gives someone more room than a typical car, but much cheaper than an SUV or Truck. Throw in the Toyota overall value, and you have a pretty nice vehicle from a practicality standpoint.
Not to mention, there are a few xA's and xB's in the 14.0 range with just a premanufactured turbo kit. You figure 12K-14K for the car, 3K for a turbo, and you have a brand new 14 second car for under $18,000.

The second-generation xB and the all-new xD (original pic on this thread). The xB will share its powerplant with the current tC and will be powered by a 2.4L four-cylinder generating 158 hp and 162 ft-lbs. of torque. It will also feature a 5-speed automatic or manual transmission The xD is the new kid in the Scion camp, it will be based on the same platform as the Toyota Yaris and will be powered by the same engines as the Corolla and Matrix: 1.8L four-cylinder engine delivering 128HP.
Pic's not working.
Don't forget to add 6 airbags and HID headlights are standard.
Is this what you are trying to add?

I'm sorry, but I happen to be one of the few who like the Scions.
My g/f has an xB and that thing is soooooo roomy. It's really comfortable too. The only things that I don't like is how loud it is, and how slow it is.
I am glad to hear they are putting some more power into the xB, because you could die in that thing merging onto the freeway with only 108 HP or whatever it is.
Hopefully the 2.4 isn't as thrashy as the current engine in the xB (1.5 I think?). It is a nice little car for the price, and I like that it's much different than what you usually see on the road.
really dontlike how the changed the look of the xb... it was fine the way it was.. i really liked the way they looked... wonder how hard the engine swap would be?

I think they are pretty bland, but wait until Five Axis shows you what you can do with them (here's the last round of Scions they did)
The only one I would get is the one you have, tC.
As for the Five Axis, I'm not all about flash and bling. Hell, are they even drivable?
They ruined the xB! I love the original but this new one looks like ass.

I felt the same way you did at first. But, as I've become more involved in the Scion community, I have been growing more fond of the xB. The xB is a great choice if you want something new with good gas mileage, under 15K, has a lot of space, and will hold a decent resale value.
The Five Axis cars do move, but I don't think they'd be very practical in the real world (or at least the xA certainly wouldn't).
I was one of the 300 Scion owners who had the opportunity to preview these cars in Miami last month courtesy of Scion Corp. The xD and xB they had on display in Miami were the 5Axis versions and were incredibly practical for everyday driving. I'm sure they'll come up with other "wilder" versions though shortly.
Heard through the Miami grapevine, rumor has it that 5Axis will begin to make factory upgrade parts for the Scions next year. That will be interesting!
Other than that - I have a tC and am very active within the Scion community and I welcome the next-gen xB and new xD to the lineup.
Dude, someone kick this chick OFF THE.... oh, wait. Hi honey.
Nice uh... trophies you got there. So uh... whatcha doin, say around, 8 oclock? Wanna, sit on the couch or something?
Wow they really have done the impossible they have managed to take the ugliest car on the market and make it even more ugly
Practical or not, id rather drive a Dodge Omni if I wanted an ugly car

^^ I can vouch for that. He had to resort to getting me @!#$-faced on our first date.
LOL , so which matt are you dating
hahahahahahaa
Wow, Cynce finally joined... Nah I'm not buying it. Matt probably just created a dupe-account. Where are the mods?!
Btw, I'm jealous you were picked for Miami.
I can't wait to see what 5Axis has in store for us.

he's correct 100%, if the current xb wouldnt have been so damn slow i would have one right now.
No, this is in fact the *actual* Cynce. No dupli-Matt account here. Although he's probably not thrilled I joined his homestead.
In one word, Miami was AMAZINGGGG! Scion really went all out for us. This is something that no other car manufacturer can truely say.
