i was wondering what a good cam would be to get for a pretty much stock silverado 4.8(5speed)
has intake and flowmaster exhaust.
also n2o.. whats the highest safe shot i could run on the engine (dry)
any other tips or ideas would be great

Find a LQ8 out of an Escalade, swap in with a hot cam and LS6 heads. Put over high heat for 5 minutes, serve with side of performance clutch.

16.8.1 compression... 360hp.... 650tq.... stock
If i remember right 4.8 5.3 6.0 all are a direct replace. but thats with an auto tranny. now if i was use i would just get a few bolts on and 100 shot. yes the engine can handle that much hp but the tranny i dont know. i would do that if u wanted to keep it simple.
now if u wanna go full out check this guys profile out. has a 6.0, t-56 tranny and a turbo kit on it.
