I have these "laying around" right now. I've been debating for some time whether I want to put them on the tC or not. So, Sunday, I decided to wash the rims and throw them in front of the tC to see how they look.
What do you think?
Yay or neigh?
btw, I photoshopped the stock tC rims out. Also, due to these sitting in front of the car without any weight on the, it makes it seem like the car is dropped. I wish
Only 20 lugnuts standing in your way.
Though I've always loved stock tC 17's....I was actually looking into getting a tC, I test drove an '07 this Fall. Was planning on ordering a BCP tC around now, but then I took on another j-body project like an idiot.
Ah well....I'll move on someday.
Drop/factory lip kit/lip spoiler/stock 17's always had looked sexy IMO though. That's the route I was planning.
those other rims look less busy than the factory ones. I like the factory ones too, but I'm a big fan of simple

As I said before, they look a little thin, but go for it because they are better than the factory ones.
Thanks guys.
Last night, I ordered the hub rings that will adapt these to the tC's hub. I love the fact that both the tC and the Cavalier are 5x100 bolt patterns. If I decide I don't like it, I'm only out $20 for the rings. Hell, if I find another set of Konig's that I want, I can mix and match between the tC and Cavalier all day long.
Already have the lug nuts, so providing it's not raining this weekend, I'll post up some pictures with them installed.

I agree. I'm kicking myself in the ass for not getting the lip kit. I've been eying the TRD suspension set up for a while now. Once I get some problems taken care of with the Cav, I'll probably be dropping the tC.

Yeah, the lip kit is right around a grand here, already painted. Not bad at all if you ask me.
I looked into different setups, I enjoyed the Sportline drop on the tC, and the Sprints just set way low, especially in the rear. Also looked into the Teins, but adjusting the rears looked like a lot of fun
.
I'd love to go lower with a drop on the car, but I have no reason to. The cav will be getting Gravana coil-overs w/pillow-ball mounts (when they come out), so I have all the adjustability I could want if I need a fix.
Besides, the full TRD spring, shock, and rear anti-sway set up is only $755 from
TRDSparks. (They also have the lip kits for around $860)
I'm actually contemplating making my own lip. I have a spare bumper sitting around (thanks to Batman) which I've used to start making a set of fog light holders. Once I come to a stopping point with the cav, I'll probably draw something up for the tC.
I dunno, I'm not feeling it dude.

You just have to be differnt, huh?
I dunno, Thomas. I think they'd look better on a red Jbody..maybe a sunfire....
Nah, I don' think so. The 4x4-like wheel gap of said vehicle would kill the visual pleasure these rims have brought me for all these years.

the suspension you bought would do wonders for that
I agree... and they will make these look ooooh so purdy...
... when they all go on my cav
Just wait until you get home....your suspension could already be on homer!!
I highly doubt that. You'd start, find something shiny, get distracted, and thus would end your attempt to install the coil-overs.
(besides, you'd need strut mounts, and you're too broke to buy some
)

IMO it makes the beautiful car look devalued and it does not flow right. I think the stock one looks better. And no, I am not playing devil's advocate either.
Thanks for being honest.
Truthfully, I'm not as in love with the way they look on here as I am with how they looked on the cavalier. I bought them after I saw
Curtis Weiberg's cavalier:
.
However, I also don't think the pictures do them justice. I'll most likely put them on this weekend, take some more pics, and then decide if I want to leave them on for the time being.
I just wanted to change things up a bit.
I vote Yes. Looks nice, id do it.

Homer goes bouncy bouncy. Blown struts are fun, aren't they? And Homer's already rockin the 4x4 status on 17's...well, 3 17's and a steelie.
What do you need these for????
And Thomas, don't you let her get near those coilovers. Don't worry, I'll distract her while you go hide them.
That should do the trick,
