first)
Are people suposed to know they need to get out of the way? It looked like some did right away and others didn't give a crap. I understand why they don't want to stop. But i'm just curious if it's protocol for civilians to automatically move out of a military convoy (like we do for ambulances). I ask this becuase a ton of people seemed to also on purposely run out in front of it...they even almost tagged that kid running in front of them.

i was bummed this was not some jackhole in his H2 on his cell. That's what i thought when i saw the title. There was guy locally with a lifted yellow H2 that thought his H2 was the greatest thing on 4 wheels. And was infamously known in the neighborhood to bump cars when ever he saw fit to warn them to get out of his way. Well I'll be darned if the bastard didn't do it to me during Christmas a few years ago. i was at the mall which was packed and families were in the cross walk. In California people in cross-walks have the right of way no matter what, so have to stop and sit there till whenever you can drive through. I'm waiting and this jerk bumps me....i was like "no way" and figured it may have been a mistake. He revved his motor and honked then bumped me again.
Tons of people walking right in front us. He then backs up...making the cars behind him have to move then gunned it around me almost hitting a lady and a grand mother and her baby in a stoller, and few other families. People scattered for their lives as he blasted through. Cars waiting on the other side said the H2 guy was grinning ear to ear. I later that night saw the H2 in the Best buy parking lot parked all the way in the back of the lot by it's self, so nobody would hit his baby. I keyed it and my buddy launched a cart at it at top speed. it got jammed up under the truck. FYI this is the only time i've ever done this, but it's the key example of why you don't endanger others or why I don't drive like an as*hole.
My neighbor is a sheriff and he got the call that the truck was vandalized, he said all the cops on scene were totally laughing at the guy behind his back becuase of all the calls they have gotten of him bumping cars for so long. And the guy is a class A jag-off to boot so they really didn't care or want to feel sorry for him. A few cops told him he should take this as a heed to drive with more respect for the new year. Ever since that night....i've NEVER seen that H2 ever again.

Actually yes, in this country you are not supposed to break up a convoy. And over there they are not supposed to stop in a convoy for anything. That means if little Timmy gets in the way o well.

i knew about no breaking up one here. So what a bunch of morons then if they can't get out of the way. It seemed there were quite a few that knew to and did with no problem.

Aye, were in vehicle maintenance and sometimes we deploy with the army and ride convoy's. Just in case anything breaks down or something. Two of my good friends just did it. They said you stop or nothing or no one. Most people get the F out of the way but some like these jack asses just pull in front of you. Seems kind of @!#$ up to hit them, but hey what are you to do. its not like he slammed them really hard shoving them off the road.
Holy @!#$ I would LOVE to be able to do that legally here, that would be soooo nice. Especially in the Wal-Mart parking lot here. Stupid non driving bastards.

My cousin did that while she was in iraq only in one of the bigger transport trucks. Only she spun a brand new mercedes into the ditch.
