Awesome, I've got a white redline SKY with red/black leather interior maybe 20ft from me right now on the showroom floor. It's easilly one of the nicest cars I have ever seen. Those turbo ecos move too; the first one we got in a couple months ago went drifting in the parking lot ^_^
Make sure to keep an eye on your struts and your differential seal at the axle. Those look like they are going to be the firs recall because I've already replaced the rear struts and diff seal on two skys alread. I've also got an N/A sky at home that the taillights fogged up in.
ENJOY!

mutherfreaking beautiful dude, tell me how it is

Like everything except for the tops color. Black would have been better IMO.
I abssolutluy love the car, I het tons of looks and stares everytime i drive it. I paid 30 grand for it. Options are chrome rims, onstar, ac (yes thats a option on this model) monsoon 7 speaker system. The only i did not get was the xm I dont care for it. Its quick and will put you in ur seat. The reason the top is tan and not black is because when being built It would have been a couple more months If I wanted the black top. Here in fl the top is barely up lol. Thanks all for the comments and if anyone has any questions hit me up. This is my toy and I have a 89 mazda b2200 as my beater.

30 grand ooof thats alot you could have got a Mint 04-05 Z4 3.0i with like 10,000 miles for less then that price
the GXP is still a great car despite not being a BMW lol
o well if your happy with it thats all that matters, only thing i would change on it if i was you would be the top,it looks hideous in tan get your self a nice black top and you will be good to go imho
btw get them fenders on and take some pics cant wait to see it
GXP is fadter than the Z4, And repair parts... cheaper. So @!#$ BMW.

actually the Z4 is faster motor trend did a whole compare between the GXP, Z4 and 350z roadster
z4 can go from 0-60 in 5.1 seconds and do the 1/4 mile in 13.8@100mph where as the GXP does 0-60 in 5.5 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 14.1@98mph
also the breaking is far superior in the Z4 60-0 in 104 ft where as the GXP does it in 121 ft
here is the link

of course with them all being new the bmw will cost alot more and the price listing that they have for the GXP isnt exactly real world prices yet due to demand
though if you could get a GXP for 26 grand then thats a pretty good deal in comparison to the other 2 roadsters , but hell for 30 grand you seriously could go out and get a Z4 that has very little miles on it
one thing you are somewhat right one is the parts prices ...while bmw parts really are not that much more then a gm part its the price to have something actually installed or repaired that is...thats where they get you so its not really in the cost of the parts but you sorta have a point in that regard. as for someone like me i wouldn't mind because i know how to work on the bmw's straight 6 engines and as far as im concerned there really not that difficult to work on and great engines.
the one thing the GXP has really going for it is that turbo once people start learning to tune with that direct port injection then things will be sweet and im sure we will see many 300whp solstices around
30 grand though ...i would have waited to get it for the 26 grand list price then id be 100% for the GXP
actualy im sorry i suppose you can get the up to 30grand with options ...so what options do you have? im supposing the suspension and handling package and i notice the chrome wheels...so anything else?

Sorry but our GXP was only 27k
. Infact we drove it of the lot for less than a base sol that was at the same dealer. its called good gredit and gm discount. And maybe Im old fasion but supporting an American auto manufacturer is more our style. BMW and Nissan can keep there very common in public cars
