GMC Envoy Denali

This summer, my wife and I will be looking for a new vehicle. Since this will be her vehicle, I let her decide. SUV for sure. Gas mileage is not an issue. We are looking at the Envoy Denali and I wondering if anyone here on the .org has had any experience with them? Any major issues, complaints, etc. ? If so please post them here. Thanks.

No personal experience here. I just know they are exspensive. I could find out from the dealer what kind of issues they have.

Guy at work has one the only complaint I've heard from him is the MPG but he drives quiet a bit and has to fill up the tank prolly twice a week.

He travels about 2 hours to see his girlfriend every weekend and that where he puts most of his milage

My question is, do you actually NEED something of that size? What about the Envoy? Those are nice as hell, and roomy enough I would think. Better MPG to save money, and probably a whole lot cheaper.

I just got a job as a car salesman at a local used car dealership on the 8th. There's on on our lot now and it has a pretty nice interior. All in all it's still not my type of vehicle, but I have to admit they're pretty sharp.

Envoy and Envoy Denali is the same thing just that the Denali comes with more goodies and a better looking grill. 2006 they started to put the 5.3L with the Active fuel or DOD. I have the 5.3L in my Traiblazer and I like it better than my parents Envoy and TB's Inline 6.

Summer time I average 18 -19 MPG Winter I have been averaging 16-17MPG Mixed highway and city.

NfamousZ24 is right.
This is the truck in question.

By the way, when the Denali version came out, most of the GMT-360s recalls were already addressed. 2005+ has been almost trouble free. Personally I'd take the none XL in 4200 I6 just it is soooo smooth and refined. Wish GM would use more of that engine.

Yes, the Envoy Denali. I think that my wife would look really nice driving one of those. I just wanted to know if anyone has heard of any known problems/issues. Thanks to all that replied!

2005 was a great year, But the 2006 interiors looks so much better IMO just a little changes here and there that most might not notice.

Also note I wouldn't buy anything that came out of the OKC plant and that would be 99.5% off all of the EXT, XL, and XUV models which were on the 370 platform.

Right now they are offering $4-6K cash back or 0% on the '06's. But I would rather you buy an '07 to keep my plant running for another 50 seconds. lol

They are nice trucks. And they have good ratings too. But I find that the whole truck shudders and reverberates alot over bumps, and it makes me feel a little insecure driving it.
