Wow, a focus besides the SVT 5 door that actually catches my eye. The 1st Gen was 1000000x better than the 2nd gen. Looks like they're headed up with the 3rd Gen.

Not my cup of tea, but a Focus never has appealed to me. Hatches are all I see in my area, too bad they're killed off.
The interior blows away the current focus, but the exterior looks like absolute ass.
Holy Saturn Batman... that front end is HIDEOUS! the exterior realy isnt doing it for me at all...

Finally, they got rid of the hatchback model. Maybe it's because I'm older, but to me hatchback = cheap car. That's how it was back in the 80's and 90's and that's how most people my age think today. So selling that thing for the same price as a Honda Civic EX or Chevrolet Cobalt SS was just asking for low sales. This, btw, is coming from a Ford guy.
The new model isn't perfect, but it has promise. With some mods and ingenuity that thing could look really good.

The only thing that made me look at this was the hopes that we were getting the Euro spec focus (read Mazda 3, Volvo s40) and there was a glimmer of hope when i saw the coupe version (i would kill for a Mazdaspeed 3 coupe, hell anything but that hatch).
I can't for the life of me see why ford, as a financially struggling company, would put money into redesigning the bread and butter car to look like there new SUV (edge).
Instead they could have brought the Euro spec focus (with a minor facelift that doesn't look like A$$). Hello, Ford look at what GM is doing to Saturn!

I don't like it at all. It's very chunky and akward looking, yet also boring. I liked the ZX3 best of all the Foci I've seen. Too bad they dropped the hatch.
