Dodge Magnum R/T -- AWD or RWD?

So I have pretty much decided I am going to be getting a new Black Dodge Magnum R/T in the coming months. My only issue is, AWD or RWD?

I would like AWD for the snowy winters in MN, but also do realize its not as "fun" and it affects gas mileage, along with being harder to find rims, suspension etc.

What would you guys suggest I do and why?

I wouldn't worry so much about rims and performance...I mean you can still do a lot etc.. Gas would be my big issue. Of course your not looking at a lot anyways if you're going with a Magnum R/T. If I was going to be driving it in harsh winters i'd go AWD all the way. Of course I dont know what your winters are like. If they aren't that bad then screw it go AWD. RWD is still easy to get traction with just not as great in the snow. Its not like its FWD or AWD thats a no brainer always AWD =P RWD is great to so I dont think you'll really make a bad decision. Just go with it, dont regret it, and dont look back.

Do you reallllly need AWD? I figure with TC and ESP and winter tires you will be set. I mean with AWD or RWD or FWD you will always run the risk of getting stuck in the snow no matter what configuration.
The only upside on AWD Magnum is that you will ride higher with better ground clearance because the accommodation of the AWD set-up.

get the RWD version, I live in Minot, ND and this last snowfall we got about a foot and a half of snow. i drove my friends RWD R/T and went out to base, with the traction control/ stability control on, i was highly impressed with its handling in the snow!!! i was doing 65 ish while everyone else was doing like 40. It actually got around almost as good as my dakota with snow tires and the magnum has the stock tires on it. either way whichever you get your FIRST MOD should be the Superchips Flashpaq!!!! I cant stress that enough on how much they make a difference on the magnums!!!!!

I would go with the AWD. The Diamler-Chrylser AWD trans is far better then the NAG1 trans used the the RWD. Gas mileage has become a BIG concern at DCX so the AWD really uses two wheels apposing one another. i.e., LF and RR wheels would spin the other two due not. Now when the ESP and TCS detect grip performance fading, it will engage all four wheels until the system feels that proper traction has been reastablished.
