late night deliveries are such fun

good friend of mine just got back into town last night from pickin up his new "toy".

it's a '94 mustang cobra minor mods for now. some lowering (man the thing sits LOW) equal length headers, full exhaust. even with that, possibly the quietest 5L with aftermarket exhaust i've ever heard. going in this winter is at least a cam and TB. just thought i'd share

Andy

wheel gap on both front and back is <1/2". exhaust got hung up on the trailer while we were pullin it off, and the nose almost cought on the ramps.

'94 and '95 cobras did not say "cobra" on the rear bumper, nor did they have the SN 95 "cobra" hood

i agree, definetly not my fav. stang... but we have two GOOD lookin SN95's in our group. this one, and a teal GT with black bullet wheels. both great lookin cars, especially for SN95s.

he's lookin at an E-cam. his old fox (it my old post with all the cars in my driveway, it's the marroon fox) had a B-cam and he misses the lope a little... doesnt miss the warm up time, but misses the lope. i'll tell him to look into that one, though. got any good info on it? how it compares to the ford racing cams, ect?
as for forums, he usually gets on the fox forums. they've got more 5.0L stuff, and he use to own a fox. he'll probably get on SVTperf more now that he has one, but if i remember correctly their 5.0L section isnt nearly as helpful as their 4.6 sections are.

Letter Cams are old tech out of date. (x,e,f,b cam etc.) The comp cam is designed to be used with a stock tune. The 94-95 computer is very picky when it comes to cam selection unless you plan to get a tune done by somebody who knows there stuff. (Also I would hope he plans to pick a cam based on what kind of power he wants to make and where, power adder in mind etc. NOT SOUND) I hear that from noobs all the time and it drives me nuts...

94-95's are kind of a bastard child of the 5.0's they have a few things diffrent. I wouldn't be hanging out on a foxboard they won't know everything when it comes to these cars they have some odd ball stuff. (oil cooler, timing chain setup, computer, pulley system, tranny to name a few from the top of my head..) I'm just saying that because I've seen misinfo given more then a few times from people who own foxbodies some stuff is diffrent.

Best bet for 94-95 info is going to be svtp, corral, or stangnet(probably the best) Good luck, and if you or your friend got any questions you can find me on aim @ labora02

he's on stangnet pleanty. and he is interested in the power, but his new cobra's faster than the ol fox. so he cant really "miss" the power.

and trust me, we've been through the sn95 differences pleanty of times. the teal one's actually in my garage at this very moment undergoing an tranny change, C4, and we're not sure it'll fit right. gnona find out, though. 2nd tranny we've done in it, and finding em for SN95's is a bitch. as well as exhaust, valve covers, blah blah blah blah blah. i know exactly wucha mean. i might hit ya up on aim sometime, though. just in case we have a prob

I have a friend with a 95, that had an E cam, and a set of heads on it, and that was a nice sounding mustang. plenty of power....but I wouldn't call it a monster either. he was shootin for 12's though on DR

both of the guys say thanks for the compliments. the cobra's having some problems, though. rough idle until you floor it. we're thinkin a dead O2. idles rough when it's open loop, runs ok when it's closed loop at WOT. thoughts?
