So let me get this straight... the headlights are kinda sorta almost but not really the same size, and the taillights are almost the same shape but a completely different size, and your point is... ????
You people drive me nuts. I know I had a nice rant about this in some other thread a while back. I think my point was something along the lines of "get a clue."

when i first saw the front of the Fusions I thought it was a rip-off of the new Cadillac sedans

"You people"
WTF just trying to start some convo
ehhh..
its not a two door though.... though there should be one soon
Fusion looks way better than the Prelude, in my opinion. The lights on the Prelude look to be aftermarket but I can see where the "conspiracy theories" arise from.

Ok, sorry, let me be a little more specific. It goes something like this...
Original post: BRAND NEW (name of car) from (name of manufacturer)
Within 5 posts of the first post: IT LOOKS JUST LIKE A (different car from different manufacturer)
If you don't believe me, look at the post from earlier today about the 2008 Nissan Sentra. Within 5 posts someone compares it to a Cadillac!?!?!?! WTF is that about? It happens, with rare exception, every single time someone posts a brand new car in this forum. I can provide links if anyone doubts me.

Thats fine but no need to get all pms on me

I did as well, although I didn't like it on TV, I like it in person.
1983 Camaro Z28
I can see some form of resemblance but like every generation, cars will copy each other until somebody does some sort of ground breaking design and the cycle will repeat itself.

I think you mean there will be a 2 sedan Focus.

Dave: I don't think you should blame US PEOPLE
for designer's utter lack of creativity. Stealing other "better" designs is as old as time.
It's nothing to stress or get upset about and certainly nothing to turn this into a War Forum post about. Chill out a little bit.
And now for something completely different... Click the Minister.

it does have soem similarities to a prelude and the sentra has similarities to a caddy. SO WHAT. there is not a damn thing wrong with people bringing it up

i know im setting myself up on this one but i like the honda better. looks wise anyway. and obviously the aftermarket parts are much more plentiful (it is a honda)
I don't think he was going by the size of the car. He wasn't saying it was a direct ripp off.
Just that it looks like the designers took a prelude made the car a little bigger. Note on the Fusion if the top grill was changed slightly it would be the same size as the preludes. The headlights and driving light is entirely different but yet still similiar. Come on they use another type of car design they aren't going to throw the same headlight from the old design on it from what like 5-6 years ago.
Note the hood line is different but this is due to the headlight being smaller if you enlarged it to the prelude size it would almost match perfectly.
Also if you don't see the major similiarity on the back you need to get your eyes checked. The back is almost identical. Look at the tail light ohhhhh big innovation they made it smaller slightly enlarge it with out the back up light and its the same ass end except for the bottom of the bumper is a full piece. Oh and it looks like they also just enlarged the plate section.
From a side profile does it look like a Prelude? No. From the front and back does it? Yes in a way just slightly changed.
Had to change sig because some dickhead is mad it went 1 letter over size
and if you dont think the front of the new sentra doesnt look like the front of a new caddy (in the pics) then you are on crack
the fusion i like better than the prelude as well
i know its the new .. redisigned prelude comming back in retro form .. like the mustang aN all those other retrofied cars ... but yea the back looks to much alike .. eh some humans do also ...but its still a good topic, cant we all just get along ? were all here for the same reason ... we love cars .. period
not many people know this but i did get rid of my truck for a fusion...
i love it....great mileage...great ride...an cheap!
^ I see Prelude in that white one

Damn....when Dave himself tells you off, you know youve committed a crime against car-manity!!

Perhaps that would explain the slight resemblance. Regardless, I like the
sharper theme used on the Ford Fusion
what about faster than light speed, warp drive, transporters, cure for the common cold, time machine etc.... not everything has been invented yet though perhaps maybe thought of
