One of the local tv stations has been playing re-runs of the 70's tv series Charlie's Angels and I had forgotten the Ford must have been supplying the cars for the show. Jacqueline Smith (she still looks great) was chasing the bad guys in her Mustang II Ghia. I forgot they even existed. Jill's(Farrah Fawcett) Mustang Cobra II looks sort of neat in a nostalgic way, although somwhat slow in stock form (quarter mile in about 17 secs) for a 302 V8. When I was in elementary school, my mom bought a used 1974 Mustang II hatchback that was a gaud awful green, although I never made the connection it was basically the same car as on that show. My dad bought brand new , red 1977 Ford Thunderbird with a white vinyl interior. I just remember sliding across the backseat when went around corners. I still don't know why (or what the function was other than styling) the car had electric headlight covers. I start realizing how much better cars are today in styling and performance.

ever wonder why hot rodders use mustang 2 suspentions?
cause the rest of the car was junk.. lol
it is kinda funny.. how that car changed hot rodding forever, but it really had nothing to do with the whole car persay

I'd hate to say it....lol....but Just by looking at that thing 11's is a disappointment.
Looks like a low 9/high 8 second car (judging by the size of tire and mini-tub).

My mom had a 76 Mustang it was perhaps the worst car ever made, it stalled going up hills, in an automatic
1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
I was watching Charlie's Angels the other day and I was confused by the pinto. It was really decked out with a sliding sunroof, vinyl top, plaid interior, and wire wheel covers. I would have never thought you could have got all that stuff on a pinto...

well, to be honest, i haven't talked to him in a while, so it could possibly be faster now, but i'll have to find out for sure. i think that it's a 351w-based engine, no turbo or blower or nitrous or anything, just your basic windsor.
update: 10.946 @ 122 mph
still not sure of the motor, though
